A Bonnetier, what is it exactly?

According to Wikipedia, a bonnetier is a merchant who manufactures or sells hosiery. So what is hosiery? According to Wikipedia, hosiery refers to the manufacture and trade of knitted clothing items, particularly socks, stockings, and lingerie made of wool and cotton. The manufacture of these items began on a loom in 1449.

We chose this name to represent our company because of its historical significance. Our company is modern, but we wanted the name to convey a sense of authenticity. We also wanted a name that represents the artisan's way of working and, by extension, communicates the idea of "quality craftsmanship."
